  5. THE SHAREWARE CONCEPT

  7.   Shareware is licensed commercial software which the authors make available
  8.   on a try-before-you-buy basis.  Users may evaluate a Shareware product for a
  9.   period usually between 30 and 90 days, by the end of which they must either
  10.   pay for the product (known as Registration) or stop using it.
  11.  
  12.   Copying of Shareware, subject to the above conditions, is not only allowed,
  13.   it is encouraged.  Pass copies on to interested friends and colleagues.
  14.   Shareware authors rely on the integrity of users to abide by the conditions
  15.   of the license, and register the product if they want to continue using it.
  16.   Many, like INNOVATIVE THINKING and ARK ANGLES, also give added benefits to
  17.   users who register.

  20. ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

  22.   This program is Shareware, and may be freely copied and distributed subject
  23.   to the terms described in the VENDOR.TXT file.  The program may be tried out
  24.   for up to 60 days without charge, after which time users should register it
  25.   or cease to use it.

  27.   Note that Shareware does not mean Freeware or Public Domain.  This program
  28.   is licensed software, and copying or using it without paying for it, except
  29.   as provided above, is a breach of copyright.

  32. WHY REGISTER?
  33.  
  34.   As stated, the license for this product entitles you to try it out for up to
  35.   60 days.  Use of the unregistered product beyond that period is a breach of
  36.   copyright and is against the law.  But apart from the legal obligation,
  37.   there are many benefits to be gained from registering.  You will receive:

  39.    o  a copy of the latest version of the program, plus
  40.    o  a bonus program, plus
  41.    o  12 months support direct from the author, plus
  42.    o  periodic news and upgrade information, plus
  43.    o  the satisfaction of supporting value software through Shareware.

  46. PRICING

  48.   Single Registration is A$39.95 or US$33.95, shipped anywhere in the world.
  49.   This gives a license for use of the program by one user or on one machine,
  50.   and entitles you to all the benefits listed above.  Special licensing
  51.   arrangements are available for schools or businesses or anywhere there are
  52.   multiple machines or users at the one site.

  54.   Significant updates are released regularly, and unregistered copies of the
  55.   latest version are available from ARK ANGLES for just a shipping charge
  56.   of $5 each, or from many good Shareware vendors.

  61. HOW TO REGISTER
  62.  
  63.   Nothing is simpler.  We accept cash (of course), cheques (but may wait for
  64.   them to clear if they are large amounts), credit cards (Bankcard, Visa or
  65.   Mastercard only), bank drafts or Postal/Money Orders.  Credit cards will
  66.   always be billed by us in $A so you get the latest and best exchange rate.
  67.   Although we prefer any cash or cheques or drafts etc to be in $A or $US, we
  68.   will accept them in any major currency - please calculate the equivalent
  69.   amount in your own currency from the published $US price.

  71.   There are four easy ways to register:

  73.   1. PHONE:  Get your credit card ready, and the details of your equipment as
  74.      listed in the ORDERFRM.TXT file.  Then call (047)588100 or (047)592145
  75.      for Australian customers, or Intl+61-47-588100 or Intl+61-47-592145 for
  76.      overseas customers, and leave your ordering information with the operator
  77.      or answering machine.

  79.   2. FAX:  If you have a fax card on your computer, then simply edit the file
  80.      ORDERFRM.TXT with all the necessary information, otherwise print it and
  81.      fill it in manually.  Make sure all your credit card info is there,
  82.      then fax it to (047)588638 or (047)592145 for Australian customers, or
  83.      Intl+61-47-588638 or Intl+61-47-592145 for overseas customers.

  85.   3. POST:  Print ORDERFRM.TXT and fill it in.  Include all your credit card
  86.      details or enclose a cheque, draft or money order, and post the lot to

  105.   Support is given to unregistered users during the 60 day trial period, and
  106.   to registered users for 12 months.  This includes direct access to the
  107.   author and/or distributor by mail, phone and fax.

  110. SOFTWARE LICENSE

  112.   This product is licensed, not sold.  It may be freely copied and distributed
  113.   subject to the conditions in the VENDOR.TXT file.  Unregistered users have
  114.   a limited license to try out the program for up to 60 days without charge.
  115.   Registration gives a license for the use of the program by one user or on
  116.   one machine.  Special licenses may also be available for multiple machines
  117.   or users, for extended rights to copy, or for source code.

  120. WARRANTY

  122.   ARK ANGLES and/or the author of this program warrant the physical disks and
  123.   related printed matter to be free of significant defects in materials and
  124.   workmanship, and that the program works largely in accordance with its
  125.   documentation.  This warranty is effective for three months from date of
  126.   registration, and is not transferrable.

  128.   No liability is accepted for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused by
  129.   the use of this product.  No warranty is made that it is suitable for any
  130.   particular person or purpose.  If this product is useful to you then please
  131.   register it, otherwise don't use it and don't pay for it.

  133.   In any event, the liability of ARK ANGLES and/or the author is restricted
  134.   to either a refund of the registration paid, a replacement of the physical
  135.   disks and/or printed matter, or the provision of an upgrade to the latest
  136.   version.
